JAPANESE 75 MM SHELL
decorated with flowers and Japanese characters. With letter from
the Victoria & Albert Museum identifying the shell as dating from
the turn of the century (Russo-Japan War period). The Japanese characters
were difficult to read but the words "Kingly person" were identified. A
Japanese linguist added the tentative translation as 'LORD NIGOTAME ......
'
